WOLFSKIN - DESPOJOS DO SOL-POSTO (WNS 001)
“Despojos do Sol-posto refers, together with No Crepúsculo Flamejante, to the Celtiberian ritual of throwing a living coal to water at dusk, mimicking the death of the day, the Sun’s journey through the underworld. This is a fit name for the performance that we gave at Fábrica do Som, a rather crepuscular and ritual offering, with some ambient overtones.”
“Despojos do Sol-Posto” is a live recording of the 2013 concert of Wolfskin at Fábrica do Som, Porto, where a rather more experimental and ambient approach prevailed over the usual epic and percussive elements. While the focus was given on compositions mostly taken from “Campos de Matança” album, the use of elements such as guitar and vocal drones, stones, leaves, water, horns, bells or synths, expanded the music of Wolfskin towards other territories.

IURTA - MNEMONIC SIGNALS LIVE (WNS 002)
IURTA is a collaboration between J. Aernus (Wolfskin, Karnnos) and A. Coelho (Metadevice, Sektor 304), exploring themes of alienation, unsanity and culturicide of the subjective, free minds.
IURTA’s live renditions were always a different beast from the recordings, with a quasi-improvised style and the physical intervention with metal pieces, machines and devices.
“Mnemonic signals” collects a series of live recordings that aptly represent the experience of hearing IURTA’s concerts.

KARNNOS - REMEMBRANCE (WNS 003)
What do we loose when we forget a memory? What is gone when the bonds with our past are severed? “Remembrance” is the pessimistic answer to these questions, a reflection about memory, remembrance and oblivion, how lost we became when we cut our connections with Nature, the past and, ultimately, with our depeest selves. And how a glimpse of this bond still remains in our dreams, our visions, in the heart of some.
Initially self-released in 2019, “Remembrance” shows Karnnos exploring new territories, with bass-driven tracks, subtle layers of guitars, keyboards and flutes, tribal-like percussion and a rich sonic palette given by instruments like hurdy gurdy, harp, rabel, zither, etc. The pace is slow, the tone is somber, like a nocturnal journey through the ruins of nature and memory.
Released in collaboration with New Approach Records
